Interpretation

Definition:
A certain way of seeing the message
and meaning in a piece of writing.

Example:
From "Ozymandias"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
This poem says that nothing, not matter how
great, lasts forever.

Significance:
Having different ways of interpreting
messages makes poems a special and
personal experience for every reader.
