Definition:

The beat to which a poem is read.

Example:

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it

I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted

I fell right through the cracks, now I'm trying to get back

Significance:
The rhythm of a poem gives it a certain
flow that makes it much more pleasant
to listen to.
